week 21+22

I have been able to work out a little harder. I def feel Rocco moving and can feel on outside sometimes too. I am going down to 9 days a pay period since I would have to float one day a week. My main store is a pain in the butt sometimes and I get a little stressed. I am getting pretty big and need to watch what I am eating. I am rereading the last book of Harry Potter and what to expect when baby comes home as well as the breast feeding book. I pray that little Rocco is a healthy boy. We have the date set for the baby shower 12-12. Nancy offered her house for it and we will cater Rocco's Lil Italy food. Lori bought Rocco a little outfit (sleeper) super cute.

Week 17-20

I have gotten pretty big! I am def in maternity clothes. I started to walk a little week 20 after being off a few weeks due to pain. I am still in pain and it kills me to walk so slow but it's better than nothing. Since I was off work for 3 weeks, my feet ache and back has been killing me. It could be due to work/pregnancy. We had the 20 week ultrasound and found out it's a boy on 9-27 (Monday). Matt was excited. So, the baby's name is Rocco Anthony Maheras. I registered the next weekend at babies r us and Target. I may have felt baby kick once ( a big kick). I was laying on the couch week 20 and had my hand under my belly button and all of a sudden I felt a big kick. I haven't felt the same thing again yet but hopefully soon. We decided to make the baby room a superhero room later when he is in a toddler bed. I am feeling a little down prob due to hormones. I just feel like Matt wants nothing to do with me. I cried last night for a good 10 min lol! I am nervous of how my life is gonna change. How I will not have any time to myself between baby and work and how am I gonna work out. I am a little mad at Matt since he is so vain and how it makes me feel. Matt has it easy he works from home. On another note, I am currently re reading Happy Potter's last book before the movie comes out. I love scifi books/shows. I am watching Smallville (last season), vampire diaries, Bones, Supernatural, Fringe, and Glee. I will try to keep up with this journal thing. We are thinking about having the baby shower at Rocco's Little Italy in Orland Park. Andy's good friend owns the restaurant and we thought that would be cute!

Weeks 16-18

I haven't been posting much due to the death of Christine. There hasn't been much going on other than I have been eating like a sow. The belly is getting very big. It has been uncomfortable to sleep on my belly. At 18-19 week I think I feel baby moving it's more like a swish when I bend over and when I lay on my belly I feel weird pops once a while.

Week 14 and 15

I have not been to work since vacation and continue to workout but the pain in my pelvis and right knee are slowing me down. I think its from the running. I have put on 8 pounds and hope to stay that way till 30 weeks (WISHFUL THINKING HAHAHA.
On another complete note Christine is doing awful. During our vacation we found out she had an awful infection that would stop her from getting chemo to subside the cancer. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do as an adult. She went home instead of being in the hospital. She passed away aug 30th. I miss her jokes and her smile. She was such a joker and had a great sense of humor. She was such a good sister, mother, daughter, and friend! Chris always did the right thing. I wish you could of met her. She was gonna babysit you from time to time. I was looking forward to motherly advise for you since she raised 2 amazing kids. If you are a girl, your middle name will be Christina. We are thinking Angelina Christina (our little angel Chris).

Week 13

Neck pain is finally subsiding. However, my lower back is now starting to hurt a little while working out. This weekend was Matt's B-day. We went out for dinner (me, Matt, Mrs. M, Andrea, Mike, Keith, and Karen) to La Fiesta. The guacamole was great the rest was okay. I love my Pepi's enchiladas. From there we went to a bar and met Andrea's boyfriend. He is very friendly and we had a good time except I couldn't hear anything over the loud music. Matt was trying to convince me to name baby (if girl) Angelina Marie. I am not fond of the name! Mrs. M likes Emily Rose. I really like Sofia, Layla, Lana, Olivia. We will find out sex in 6 weeks.

Week 12

I have Gained 6 pounds so far uggg. My stomach is enormous! I haven't been able to work out due to work schedule hence the weight gain. Hopefully, next week I can step it up. Friday night was really bad pain/stomach issues. I bought the huge pillow and it hurts my neck haha. I am having trouble sleeping and was up every hour this week. I am still having trouble with drinking water and I am prob overeating to stay hydrated ugg! It's hard just drinking plain water. Matt is getting a little more excited. I am very happy that this is the last week of 1st trimester. I had 2 hot dogs and cheese fries last Sunday. As I am eating them, my SIL tells me that (as she is only eating a salad) that she only gained 15 pounds with her 1st (she was 19) and she ate grapes all the time. What about protein and good fats? UGG! She didn't mean any harm I am just sensitive. I do eat healthy but I do like my dessert and bad foods once a week. I also walk a lot and stand on my 40 hours a week. I am no sloth! The following Sunday Mrs. M made me strawberry shortcakes I was craving. We also had Nicks' grill chix gyros and I picked up some potato salad. Matt has been making home made french fries.

weeks 10-11

We had our first ultrasound! It was in 3D. I am convinced it's a boy. I really wanted a girl but maybe it's a blessing since when girls grow up they are ruthless. lol! Either way I hope it is healthy. We haven't picked a nickname yet. Right now it's Alien Maheras or little Alien. WE decided on a boys name. We really like Anthony Rocco Maheras (ARM)hahah. For a girl MAYBE Angelina Liberty Maheras. I'm not crazy about the name because of the actress Angelina Jolie. But Matt loves that song with angelica the waitress at the pizzera hehehe.
Little Elli was adopted. Her new mommy called us twice to tell us she is doing good. We miss her a lot.

Week 9

This week I am feeling a little better and was able to get in 20 miles this week and verify over 1000 rx's HA!
Belly is getting bigger and it is very annoying. My pants still fit.
I went shopping at Old Navy(online) and bought 2 pairs of pants for 12 bucks and a sweater/hoodie. I also bought 3 pairs of nice dress pants at Kohls with my 30% and my gift card and a bread maker hehe

I finally saw Tascia and her baby (born 2-9-09). He is adorable! He says agua super cute. I told Tascia. I was just really embarrassed. So, I whispered in a really awkward way in her ear I am having a baby and she was like WHAT? She didn't understand me so Jess helped me out a little. It was really nice to see Gina she is gonna pop out in one month the 17th and so is Rachael.

The next day my super husband took me out for dinner and we went to Rocos after finding out Gino's East has closed. That was the place where we had the rehearsal dinner so we were really bummed

Elli has found an awesome home in Lombard IL. I will miss her desperately but her new mom said she will send us photos and we can see her in the future as well

week 7/8

Week 7+8 were completely different! Gina's baby shower I told all of my friends. I am more emotional (prob overwhelmed with foster/work/housework) I am just tired. Working out was at about half the distance. Up at the hospital 2days/week. Boobs are stretching feeling. Bloat is horrible. I Gained almost 4 pounds and didn't want to gain any the first trimester! I am begining to want to eat more. Plus harder for me to drink enough water and prob doesn't help the bloat.
Funny story:
Bridget is very excited for baby. She asks how baby is doing everytime i talk to her. I was telling Bridget on week 8 that baby is a size of a raspberry and can move legs and arms. I also told her of the pains I get. Well, when my sis got home, she told her I can feel baby moving. My sis imedialtly thought I thought that and thought I needed to know that is just not possible. My mom was with her and told her to just let me think it! HAHAHA! Funny what people think of you!

Week1-6

We found out 8dpo (3.5 weeks). i took many pregnancy test for 2 weeks hahaha!
I was feeling fine not feeling pregnant at all! I was able to keep up doing my 16-17 miles/week. Went to Great America twice as bag lady. I did have occasional headaches.

Week 5: I saw Dr. Leipold. I really like her and we went over things. No ultrasound yet. I go back at 9 weeks( every 4 weeks). My mom around week 5 asked me if I was still pregnant.

Week 6:
I did get sick on week 6 which put a little weight on and set me back with exercising. Plus the nasal stuff didn't seem to go away.

How we told family:
I called my sis and mom right away and swore them to secrecy. If you know my mom, that means nothing hahaha!
Matt text Andrea 1st at 4 weeks and she was super excited! Later that night we told Hanna to tell the family that I am having a baby and that baby is Matt's baby while Andrea was on the phone. Andrea was excited she was the first to know. Christine figured it out before Hanna could finish and Matt's mom was in shock! Nancy seemed super excited too!

I told Bridget and Brittany week4 when I brought Elli over to their house. They were super excited.
